Will individuals ADAPT TO USE the DOOR OPENER?
Culturally WE ARE accustomed to opening a door with the use of our hands. Instructional decals will be provided with every unit. It may take some initial training through the use of digital screens, signage or an awareness campaign.
Adaptation will come quickly with proper marketing.
Will this be EASY to USE? Will I lose my balance?
Upon approaching the door, the body is naturally positioned to use the door handle. If an individual is left handed, they typically would use the left hand to pull a door handle - predominantly, they will use the left foot to open a door. Respectively the same for the right handed individual.
The individual needs to put your foot on the top of the door opener, press down just enough to gain traction, pull their foot and leg back as though were taking a step. Simply a step and pull to gain momentum. This will swing the door open and out of their way. Both ingress or egress friendly. As per install instructions, door frame resistance is recommended to 5 lbs or less.
Depending on a shoe type, you may want to try different shoe angles or positions in order to find the one that yields the most grip. Safe for all shoe types.
Balance is easily maintained because the unit is mounted as low as possible on the door. This allows the user to remain balanced and in control.
Depending on the physical size of a child, product safe for children and the elderly population.
